Clarkston Loves a Parade

AMERICAN CLASSICS is the theme of this year’s parade in the Village of Clarkston, MI, on July 4th. The parade will begin at 11:00 am, and will feature 75 participants including classic cars, floats, color guards and veterans.

The parade route begins at St. Daniel’s Catholic Church (Miller & Holcomb Roads) and goes East on Miller Rd to Main Street; South on Main Street to Church Street; East on Church Street and finally ending at the Community Education/Renaissance High School parking lot.

Parking is available at the Methodist Church on Church Street and at Clarkston Jr High School, across from the church. Early arrivals are encouraged as Main Street will be closed to traffic between Church Street and Miller Road. Parking can also be found on some side streets surrounding the Village of Clarkston.

The festivities don’t end with the parade. At nearby Clintonville Park, located at 6000 Clarkston Road, there will be a Festival of Fun and Fireworks.  The activities run from 11:00 am until dusk.

There will also be tributes throughout the day to honor our Nation’s Veterans.
